Description:   GPS Benchmark Networks North and South Brentwood. This dataset was created from xy coordinates listed in Appendix B – Record of Survey RS 2496 from the June 2000 survey. The elevation data North American Vertical Datum 1988 (NAVD 88) elevations using Global Positioning Survey (GPS). The monuments chosen for this project are shown on the Record of Survey Map 2496 (118 LSM 40) situated north of San JoseAvenue projected east and west and generally within the City of Brentwood limits. OCR was used on the table in this pdf to extract the coordinates and convert meters to feet. OCR is not perfect and most data entry problems were corrected. When elevation is marked as 0 either the benchmark was not found or not safe to occupy.Two pdfs (North and South Brentwood Benchmark Network)from 2013 contain more detailed photos and info Appendix D – Data Sheets for BenchmarksIn 2023 these pdfs were converted to GIS format, no field verification was done.
